Hakko 599B-02 Solder Tip Cleaning Wire Sponge with Holder

The Hakko 599B-02 tip cleaner is made from coils of brass, which is softer than the tip plating but harder than the oxidation that forms on the tip. Unlike the conventional damp sponge method of cleaning the soldering tip, this tip cleaner will not reduce the tip temperature and does not require water. The shell-like holder for the coils keeps solder from splattering.
